Our People

This is the room you are walking into.

Not a mirror-lined studio full of experts. A warm room, a wood floor, and a group of adults who all started at zero.

  • Most people walk in alone on week one
  • We rotate partners, so you always have someone to dance with
  • Classes stay small, so you actually get corrected

Teachers from El Mayimbe Dance Company dancing together in Toronto

Your Teachers

Dance with Roberto
and Nicole Santino.

Roberto and Nicole Santino lead El Mayimbe Dance Company here in Toronto. They teach salsa and bachata to adults, from the very first step all the way to the competition floor. The company trains every week and competes at the Canada Salsa Congress.

Their beginner classes are small on purpose. You get corrections, you get partners, and you never get left behind. Most people walk in alone on week one and walk out with a group of friends by week four.

You do not need talent. You need four weeks.

Your first class is this simple.

Salsa and bachata, both included. Show up on Wednesday. We take care of the rest.
